Dear Customers,

Regional Container Lines (RCL) continues to actively monitor operational developments across our global trade lanes to maintain schedule integrity and network reliability. Due to prevailing operational challenges affecting Khor Fakkan (AEKLF), RCL will be implementing a Contingency Surcharge on all import shipments destined for Khor Fakkan.

This measure is necessary to recover significant incremental operating and contingency costs, enabling us to sustain continuous service coverage and overall network efficiency.

Implementation & Trigger Points:

Applicability Scope: Surcharge applies to all shipments that have been picked up, gated in, or are currently on the water bound for Khor Fakkan (AEKLF) on the designated vessels.

Equipment Coverage: Applies universally across all container types, including 20' & 40' Dry, Reefer, Special Equipment, Dangerous Goods (DG), and Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo.

Settlement: Collectible locally at the Port of Discharge (POD) and payable by the designated Consignee prior to cargo release.

Validity: This surcharge is implemented in addition to base freight rates, fuel adjustments, and standard terminal handling charges.
