RCL takes slots on new China - Chennai Service

RCL is pleased to announce its new slot exchange with Inter Asia Lines (IAL) on its new China to Chennai service (ICI3) to be launched in January 2018. RCL will brand the service as “RFC” (RCL Far East Chennai service).

RFC's rotation will include Shanghai (Tue/Wed) – Ningbo(Thu/Fri) - Hong Kong(Sun/Sun) – Shekou(Mon/Mon) – Singapore(Fri/Sat) - Port Klang(West, Sun/Sun) – Port Klang (North, Sun/Mon) – Chennai(Thu/Sat) – Kattupali (Sat/Sun) – Port Klang(North, Fri/Sat) – Singapore(Sun/Mon) – Shanghai; in a 5 vessel 35 day rotation.

Mr Charlie Chu, EVP (Business) “The RFC will provide our customers with the convenience of an additional sailing for China to Chennai and vice versa. It will also provide our customers in Ningbo and Hong Kong direct sailing to Chennai and Kattupali. In addition, our customers in Chennai, Kattupali and Port Klang will benefit from a fast transit time up to Shanghai and Ningbo as well”.

Mr Chu further added “RCL is now able to offer our customers a total of 5 weekly sailings between ports in China and South East Asia and East Coast India, thus offering convenience for our valued customers to book with RCL on both a COC or SOC basis”.
