RCL increases frequency for Pasir Gudang & Palembang Service
31 Jan 2018

RCL is pleased to announce the increase in frequency for both Pasir Gudang and Palembang Service.

The current RPS calling Singapore-Pasir Gudang-Singapore-Palembang-Singapore will be disentangled into 2 separate strings.

RCL Palembang Express (RPE) will commence Singapore-Palembang-Singapore, on a 5-days rolling schedule basis using Ati Bhum (388TEU); while RCL Pasir Gudang Service (RPS) will be making a twice-weekly call into Pasir Gudang using current Anu Bhum (189TEU). Rotation: Singapore (Tue/Tue)-Pasir Gudang (Wed/Thu)-Singapore (Fri/Fri)-Pasir Gudang (Sat/Sun)-Singapore.

Both services are expected to commence their maiden voyages eta Singapore on 6th Feb 2018.

Mr. Charlie Chu, EVP Business said “Service integrity plays a vital role in the shipping industry. When RPS was calling Pasir Gudang and Palembang using the same ship, we were faced with challenges, keeping her on proforma. In order to rectify this issue, we made an investment to run Pasir Gudang and Palembang loops separately”.

“The decision was made to provide a more reliable service and meet our customers’ demand to grow in Pasir Gudang and Palembang corridor” added Mr. Charlie Chu.
